From the crystalline light of winter to the layered warmth of summer, the piece captures the arc of light through the year in Ireland across twelve interconnected movements, each reflecting a month of the year.
On December 11th and 12th, Alarm Will Sound will present Donnacha Dennehy’s electrifying Land of Winter at the Irish Arts Center in NYC, celebrating the release of our premiere recording of the work.
As a preview of this concert and album, I created an animated visualization of its breathtaking opening moments.
