Definitely excited to go into the process more on here. For me the starting point is making a kind of enhanced click track for each voice in the composition (containing more information than a normal click track would have, but less than a full midi realization). Also playing back all those click-track stems alone makes an entirely new piece that's kind of awesome to listen to.
Those stems can be loaded into video/animation software and used as visual reference for where things happen when constructing the visuals.
But it's also a dizzying number of aspect ratio and frames per second calculations. Weirdly the experience with just intonation really helps with this!?
